Blogging?

So, I've heard about this, "blogging" thing before. In fact, I remember making fun of someone the other day for doing this. So, why am I sitting here now typing this meaningless paragraph intended to mess with you? Well... I'm not quite sure.

Why Blog?

Just in case I have yet to make this obvious, I enjoy doing a little intro then throwing the title of my blog out there. It seems to make this more like watching an internet video rather than reading a long
list of words.
I still have yet to decide what to talk about, and so far I am finding this blog extremely useless. How about this... I'll just type my thoughts as they come to me. Let's start with the question that everyone is thinking: WHAT IS A BLOG???
I'm not asking what it is. We know it's a thing online that people use to write about their lives and daily experiences... but where did the name come from? I mean really. I can imagine flipping through an old journal that belonged to a British homeless guy in the 1800's, and reading (Please read the following aloud with a high-class British accent) "I saw a very strange looking BLOG today!" Wouldn't that just be a buzz-kill if the term was made up by a homeless guy hopped up on the 1800's British version of Marijuana or something.

Now that I'm done criticizing the name of this, I believe I have accomplished nothing, and leave you with a simple request... Something to blog about. ANYTHING. Give me a movie, story, book, war, political event, the color of your dogs eyes, I don't care. Anything that I can rant about and that would seem REMOTELY interesting. I'm still trying to wrap my head around this.
