Here it is, a sequel to the anniversary of Pearl Harbor. 9/11, the day that everyone will always remember. The day that children and adults will never forget. The day that people will always compare the photos of the planes hitting the ground, the pentagon, and the twin towers. That is one of things I will definitely touch up on. Also, courting, and the infamous nicknames >:)
Courting, Our Military, & Guns :D
Well, I guess I'll start with some of the simpler things. First, some nickname changes and additions. First, Baby C is now officially changed to Rabbit Bait. I guess I might as well tell the story about that too. Also, a new friend of mine, Luke, will hereby be referred to as, "The Hunter". If you don't know why, I actually explain that later on too... that's what the "Guns" part in the title above is for...
Moving on, I'll start with a summary of the first topic, Courting, which I will go into more depth tomorrow. Everyone should have a general idea about courting. It's extremely different from a normal "more that friends" relationship, but has the same idea behind it. Here's the technical definition by our good friend, Dictionary.com:
Dating - to be a boyfriend or girlfriend of (someone of the opposite sex). Alright, so that doesn't really clear it up... Let's try this
Boyfriend - a male friend with whom a person is romantically or sexually involved; sweetheart or lover.
There we are. And...
Girlfriend - a female friend with whom a man or boy is romantically or sexually involved; sweetheart.
Okay. Now read over those a few times, then read on a little farther...
Courting - to try to win the favor, preference, or goodwill of; to seek the affections of - woo;
Now, I'm going to leave you hanging, because I will touch up more on this subject tomorrow, but read these two things over. Which one do you think would be better for a longer, more healthy, relationship? I know my answer, but I want to know yours.
Continuing. Today is 9/11. That used to be just another day of another year, until 2001, when attacks were staged against the White House, the Pentagon, and the World Trade Center using hijacked American airlines. Luckily, the one that was to target the White House was taken back over by the passengers for a short time, and the purposely ran the plane into the ground to protect the innocent lives of other people.
I love our military. This is something you MUST understand. The services and sacrifices they make help us live in peace, even while they struggle overseas. People don't understand that for every gravestone they see with a military name on it, no matter how old or worn it is, there was someone who died to protect our country, our flag, and our freedom. Now, I'm going to stop, because if I don't, I will type pages on this. So, just think about what I said above. Remember that, and thank every person wearing military uniform you see. They all deserve at LEAST that.
Last but not least, guns. So, since I am now friends the The Hunter, he told me he would give me free (That's right) free (oh, I italicized it. That's how awesome it is) FREE (italicized, AND underlined... wow) classes on ballistics and distance shooting. He is a gun aficionado, and I get to learn from him. SCORE.
Finally, the Rabbit Bait story. My friend Panda recently discovered two white rabbits wandering the trail. He put them in a big red bowl and took them back to his house and ate them (jk). After awhile he released them into his backyard, where they like to hide. So, one night at his house, we were talking about the rabbits because people were looking for them. So, we decided to call them devil rabbits who go for the jugular when you get close. So, I'm starting every sentence with so. Anywho, Rabbit Bait saw one of the rabbits next to the pool, and ran after it. However, she forget there was a little step, and tripped and ate cement. HARD. Her leg was scratched up really bad. Of course I laughed after I knew she was okay. That's how she earned the nickname Rabbit Bait (or Rabbit Bate if you spell it how blended did.)
Well, I believe that's everything. Hope y'all enjoy your Sunday, and remember the ones we lost ten years ago.
Quote of the Day
"Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe to assure the survival and the success of liberty. "
